Privacy Policy

How we handle your data.

Last updated: 28 May 2026

This policy explains what personal data Verbatra ("we", "us") collects when you use this website and our document tools, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We take privacy seriously, and we have written this in plain language.

Verbatra's document tools run in your browser. The contract details you type into a generator, and any company logo you upload, are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to or stored by us. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to submit through the details form before you download a document.

11. Our role under the DPDP Act

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), Verbatra acts as a Data Fiduciary in respect of personal data that you submit to us through the form. References below to "Data Principal" rights are to the rights granted to you under sections 11 to 15 of the DPDP Act and equivalent rights under other applicable data-protection laws (such as the GDPR, where applicable).

2. What we collect

When you download a document, we ask you to complete a short form. Through it we collect:

We do not collect the contents of the agreements you generate. Those never leave your browser.

2. Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We process this data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form. We use the data to:

If you do not tick the optional contact box, we will not use your details to market our services to you.

3. How we store it

Form submissions are recorded in a secure spreadsheet hosted on Google's infrastructure, accessible only to authorised Verbatra personnel. We keep your data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, and we review and delete data that is no longer required.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use Google as our service provider for hosting form data, which processes it on our behalf under its own security commitments. We may disclose data where required by law.

5. International transfers

Because we use cloud services, your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards offered by our service providers and on appropriate legal transfer mechanisms.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to object to or restrict its use. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Cookies

Verbatra does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The site uses only what is necessary for the pages to function.

8. A note on the documents

Verbatra generates first drafts to save you time. It does not provide legal advice, and using the tools does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Every document should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer admitted in the relevant jurisdiction before it is signed.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
